COLOR
Wearing or visualizing the color orange can start to bring balance back to the sacral chakra.
Orange represents ambition and desire. Orange is also, the color for the sacral chakra.
WATER
The element of the sacral chakra is water, so being in or around water is a natural way to activate the sacral chakra.
Get in touch with water. Stand by a lakeside, fish in a pond, take a walk on the beach.
EXERCISE
It’s time to break out that old hula hoop! Exercising the muscles in the abdomen is beneficial to the sacral chakra.
So go ahead bend over and touch your toes, do some sit ups and twist side to side. Your sacral chakra will love it!

FOOD THERAPY
What better way to bring your chakra back into balance than to use the sensory function related to the sacral chakra which is taste! Sweet fruits such as mangos, oranges, nectarines and peaches are great for balancing this chakra. Get a two for one benefit by drinking the juices from these fruits because you energize the chakra with the color orange and the element of liquid. Add a teaspoon of honey to your orange juice in the morning and get a kick start to re-balancing you sacral chakra.
Sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, curry and carrots are other options for the taste pallet. Any orange colored food is great way to bring balance to this chakra. As a tip, the food that gets the most sunlight while growing is the food that has the most balancing effects for the sacral chakra.

Get out of the routine and into the unknown!
MIX IT UP
If you always drive the same routes every day to get to where you are going it’s time to mix it up! Find a new way to get to your destination by choosing a different route or a mode of transportation.
Do something different, move your furniture, change your screen saver, buy a new outfit, open the windows. The point is to get of the everyday routines and mix it up!
By mixing it up you trigger the body’s energy system to be more alert and take notice. This action signals the body’s energy system to take in more universal energy. More energy intake allows stagnant energy to move out and new energy to come in.
YOGA
Use the yoga pose “open angle pose” to gain a further sense of emotional control. While sitting on the floor stretch your legs apart from one another to form a “V” shape. While in the “V” position bend at the waste and reach your fingers to your toes. Slowly come back up to a sitting position.
Another yoga pose that requires less bending is called the “bound angle pose”. While sitting on the floor straighten your spine and neck. Bring your legs together in a fashion that has the bottom of the feet touching one another. This is a version of sitting “Indian style”. While in this position breath through your nose and out your mouth. Make sure when you inhale to extend your belly out. When you exhale suck your belly in.
These poses focus on the movement of the sacral chakra and bring Sheng Chi into the body’s energy system. It allows the Sheng Chi to flow more freely to the sacral chakra.
